Building Automation Installation Electrician

Maine Controls, Inc. is currently seeking highly organized and motivated persons to fill the position of Building Automation Installation Electrician for Maine Controls.

Our ideal candidates will have a strong desire to join our growing TEAM! As such, the individuals who apply will be qualified with these attributes:

Hold a valid State of Maine Journeyman Electrician’s License, Master’s License Preferred. Have two (2) or more years of experience with installing building automation, fire alarm, or other low voltage systems. Duties include installation and start-up of building automation systems, variable speed drives, and lighting controls. Successful candidates will work with chillers, boilers, air-handlers, pumps, and other building systems. Electrical licenses, excellent customer relations and organizational skills will be factors considered when selecting the candidate for this position.

Must possess a valid Maine driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment medical evaluation. State-wide travel is expected with some overnight stays. The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, within a diverse family oriented team is very important.

Appropriate attire is required with a neat and clean appearance. Must be able to read, write and understand technical specifications, manufacturer’s documentation, engineering sequences, and building plans. Must be able to communicate effectively with engineers, customers, end-users, and all building trades. Must be able to safely access construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other areas to survey systems and equipment.

Building Automation Programmer

Maine Controls is currently seeking a highly organized and motivated individuals to fill the position of Building Automation Programmers.

Successful candidates who will want to join our family oriented TEAM will possess these attributes and qualifications:

Have a minimum of two (2) years of programming experience with PLC and/or DDC programming. Candidates having multi-manufacturer web design experience is preferred. Must be able to assess mechanical systems, program control sequences, develop intuitive graphics for person-machine interface, third-party equipment integration and system commissioning. Must have the ability to diagnose and correct systemic problems, along with modifying sequences to improve system performance and energy efficiencies. Strong working knowledge of database software, system backups, network monitoring, data security, patching, anti-virus software, data switches, firewalls and VPN connections are required, along with familiarity of HVAC equipment (i.e. chillers, boilers, air-handlers, pumps, and other building systems).

Building Automation Service Technician

Maine Controls is currently seeking a highly organized and motivated person to fill the position of Building Automation Service Technician.

Successful candidate will possess a wide set of skill sets to join our family oriented, TEAM environment! These include:

Having 3 or more years of experience with installing and or servicing building automation systems. Knowledge of programming systems from the various major Building Automation and Control Systems, along with a 2-year higher education degree in HVAC or Electronics. A strong working knowledge of HVAC systems is also preferred. Duties include installation, start up, preventive maintenance, day-to-day servicing and maintenance; including diagnoses, repairs, and commissioning of automation systems. You will be working with chillers, boilers, air-handlers, pumps, and other building systems. In addition, you will be expected to diagnose systemic problems and modify sequences to improve system performance and energy efficiency. Electrical licenses, excellent customer relationship, organizational and computer skills will be factors considered when selecting the candidate for this position. Willing to train the right candidate.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a criminal background check. State-wide travel is expected with some overnight stays. The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, within a diverse family oriented team is very  important.

Safe work practices, efficiency, and meeting target goals are of prime importance. Rotating after-hours on-call shifts may be required involving evenings, week-ends, and holidays. Considerable involvement with the customers on Maine Controls is a priority-our customers are why we are here!
